So I think you are saying that you've NEVER cut on the Mac or does it happen only on the 2nd cut?

If it happens only on the second cut in a row then the answer is a BUG and you must turn off the cricut between cuttings.

Tell me more about what and when if this doesn't work.

THANK YOU -------I was trying to find this topic!!! What kind of bug is it--in the software I purchased?? I am new and was searching for this exact problem. I just used my scal for the 1st time yesterday and had to keep shutting my cricut off on the 2nd cut! How do I solve this?????

Welcome.

As far as I know you don't solve the problem. It is what it is...a BUG

You can certainly send an email to CraftEdge Support. They have a great team of people and they do answer questions. All us Mac users have told them about the issue. We are hoping that in the next rev of the software it will be one of the things they fix.

It's not that big a problem to me to shut the Cricut off when I've finished cutting something since I'm going to play with what I cut anyway.

Hang in there this is a small inconvenience for the immense opportunities SCAL provides.

I also heard that if you contact them they will be able to help you to downgrade to another firmware.

Its not only a MAC issue I have given up trying to use it and I have PC . I have tried EVERYTHING and I mean everything , Todd on this board has been incredibly helpful with suggestions but all to no avail .shame they dont have people like him working for thier company .... I think there is definitly a bug in this program that the people at SCAL will not admit they just keep trying to blame it on the cricut but as you can see from all the people it keeps happening to on this board it is definitly in the program . I hate when companies dont take responsibility and then charge you 70 dollars for the privelige.
