Where to put fonts
Where to put fonts
Once I have downloaded fonts or dingbats what do I do next. I have several zip files and I am not sure where to go next. Thanks for your help

If it is a font that you will use often, then you will want to unzip it and install it in your system fonts folder. There is a good tut here if you use Windows. http://www.scrappingtable.com/understandingfonts.html
If it is a font that you will only use once in a while, you might want to put it in a different folder. When you want to use it, just open the font, leave it open, and then open the program you want to use it in. The biggest drawback with this method is that unless you are using a program like Inkscape where you convert the font to a vector, the file won't have the right font if you open it later. Some people use a font manager instead. HTH
