Berevement

Post by raewyn64 »

I just found out this woman I used to work with at my old work has passed away.
I want to make a card for my old work mates so nothing really heavy or anything but just so they know I am thinking of them in their loss of a good collegue and friend.
Usually I would have time to think out a card but I want to make it quickly to send it off so has nayone got any suggestions? I was thinking of some lillies maybe - anyone got any images I can use?
Any help would be appreciated - I would usally work the card out myself but this one I am short on time for.

Oh, I just made 4 Sympathy cards yesterday (just to have on hand)

I just took a pale sage green card stock and cut a card. Then I used black and just cut some flourishes.. I used “beautiful ornaments three” and put some in the top left corner of the card and just one on the bottom right of the card. Then I made a black “tag” and printed “With Deepest Sympathies” on the green card stock and matted it on the black tag and stuck it right in the middle with a green brad.

Sorry I don’t have a picture .. have not had the time to take any. I hope this makes sense.

My sister bought a card recently because I couldn't think of anything appropriate to make, either... but the card she bought I could have made! It was beautiful because it had a ribbon (about 1.5 inches) threaded through the front and then had a very detailed leaf cut out and outlined - using the markers. The sentiment was something like "Hoping you find comfort in the warmth of family and friends". The pretty part of it was that the leaf was a negative cut out in front of the ribbon so that the ribbon showed through. That's my best description...... good luck
