Actually now that im looking none of the fonts that i installed are listed in inkscape.

Try closing Ink and reopening it. You might also have to restart your computer for the fonts to show up.

I tried restarting my computer and still none of the fonts I downloaded are in the folder. I thought for sure once I restarted they would be there. I wonder if I need to contact inkscape?

It's weird because it is showing up in scal but not in inkscape. Also if I type it in PS it looks different in PS than it does in scal. I can probably make what I need in PS and don't really need it in inkscape. Thanks for the link.

Teri,
Are you on a Mac? If so, you have to install fonts in the top level fonts folder. By default they are installed in the users font folder. Move the fonts the top level folder (your HD>Library>fonts) and then change the default folder in font book's preferences for future installations.

Thank you Kay. I am on a mac and that is probably why it's not showing up. I thought the fonts were installed like they were on PC.
