I know this is pretty basic, but it is my first success at an Inkscape drawing. It is a quilt square, one of several I hope to do. As a new Expression/Scal/Inkscape owner, it has given me a great opportunity to work with nodes and the other properties of Inkscape.
(I hope I'm doing this right, if it comes up like a black square, I think it needs to be switched to outline view)

Good job! It opened in SCAL just fine but I didn't cut it. You are on your way to many years of creating! Fun, huh?
