Typing text in Inkscape- Font problem
The font I want to use is there in Ink but keeps defaulting back to Sans. I'm trying to type a the word Family to cut in vinyl...I did it first in SCAL but there are a couple spots where the lines are incomplete. I thought I would re-do it in Ink and I could try to fix that but I cannot get the word to type in the right font at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Suzi
In Inkscape go to Text - Text & Font. Select the Font you want, click on Set As Default, then close that font box down. When you then select the Text tool your font will be the default font for you to use.
Hope that helps

If you are having trouble locating the Set as Default button it is in the lower left hand corner of the screen. It wasn't visible on my screen without scrolling down. I spent many minutes looking for it up in the menus before that occured to me. HTH

Thank you both sooo much! I never thought about needing to set it as default for it to take, duh...
It worked. Now I can get busy on my Christmas gifts!
