Adding glyphs to a font

I have the Samantha font and it has a ton of glyphs. Any idea how to add them in SCAL 2. I usually just do my design in Word or Powerpoint and save it as a jpeg and trace it but there should be some way to do it.

See this vid by Kay Hall (cleversomeday) she is using scal4 but it looks to me that scal2 might work. I do not have the font so I cannot test but someone might come along who does and verify it, or you can just try it and share your experience.
