Okay, I give up, how do I remove an effect I applied to an object? I was going to draw the design with the line fill, but after testing decided to cut it instead and layer paper, but I can't figure out how to stop the effect.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Kathy
How to cancel (remove) effects/line fill.
Re: How to cancel (remove) effects/line fill.
I am using SCAL 4 Pro, if that is important in the solution.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Hi, before I try to anwer you can you tell me what "effect" you used that you want to get rid of? Did you use the effects menu or the color pallette window?

Re: How to cancel (remove) effects/line fill.
Hi,
With an object selected, I clicked on Effects menu. From that drop down menu I clicked on Line Fill. From there I set the settings I wanted. Worked great when I set it up as a Cut Line Type of draw. But when I decided to go back to a cut line, I couldn't get rid of the effect.
Thanks.

Re: How to cancel (remove) effects/line fill.
I assume you tried undo but you have moved on too far for undo to be viable. I could not find any other way except to start the object over....not a good thing.
I sent an email to support at craftedge with the problem and asked them to post the answer publically on your post...they are usually pretty fast with answers but it is Sunday.

Please download and install again

Under the Object menu, there should be a Remove Effect option now which you can use to remove certain effects such as the Line Fill

Re: How to cancel (remove) effects/line fill.
I just checked, I have the most current download (SCAL Pro 4.035).
I've looked under the Object menu and there is no "remove effect" option.

Kathy, did you download and install or did you just look at the listed version number? Often when in a hurry CEdge does not update the page with the latest version number. Give it a try.
