Any SCAL-like software for cricut expression 2?

I'm new to the cutting world and got a Cricut Expression 2 for Christmas. I was so excited when I read about SCAL and thought I could use all the fonts on my computer with my new machine. That excitement was short-lived though because I now realize that none of the SCAL versions work with the CE2. Does anyone know of similar software that is compatible with CE2?

Sorry, no. The company that makes the Cricuts has ensured that no one else can sell software for their cutters. I would very much recommend returning that machine and getting something else like the Silhouette Cameo or the Sizzix eClips.

Do you know if they have the capability to cut as large as the CE2?

What Heather said! You are so limited with the E2. The Cameo and Eclips will give you so much more freedom. Not only fonts, but you won't need to purchase carts, and there are thousands of free and very low cost images you'll be able to use. Not to mention designed your own images. So much more flexibility!!! Seriously, return it if you can and get one of the machines mentioned by Heather.

Even though that list has finally been updated (after more than 2 years), it still seems biased to me. I don't think the people doing the reviews are really paper-crafters. Nowhere does it mention Print and Cut in any of the reviews that I read. They seem very obsessed about "pierce, engrave or emboss". While I wouldn't mind having those abilities, Print and Cut is much higher on my priorities and I doubt that I'm alone in that.
