eCAL not responding

Trying to use my ecal and the computer says not responding
I have windows 8
Is there something I need to download for win. 8 ?

I've only downloaded on win.8 thats all I have

Did you complete the activation after you downloaded ecal?

Do you have the controller connected to the computer..if so disconnect it and restart
