Wireless mouse problems

Post by Paula Anne »

HI. Was wondering if ANYONE else is having this problem. I had it with my old computer and now I'm having the same issue with the new computer.
As soon as I open up ecal and try to use it the tracking on the mouse becomes difficult to use.
I contacted Sizzix a number of times about it, and neither person I emailed acknowledged there was a problem.
But, if that is so, why has it happened with a brand new computer with a new mouse etc??????

It hasn't happened to me. Have you tried updating the mouse/keyboard software?
SCAL 2 (cricut), SCAL 3 (Black Cat 15"), Windows 10

I've always used a wireless mouse and never had a problem with them and any version of SCAL. Is it possible that your computer has too much demands on resources? If you have several programs open, you might try to close some of them. Make sure that your cutter is plugged directly into your computer and not through a hub or keyboard. Also, is it possible that the surface that you're using under the mouse is not ideal? I recently switched to a gaming mousepad and the mouse response (with any program) is so much better than the standard mouse pad that I had been using. HTH

No other program open.
I know...sizzix says its the first they have heard of it.
Weird considering it happened with my old computer and my new one.
And....its a new mouse. And because the computer is only weeks old....yes, everything is up to date.
Oh well.....

Have you contacted CE with this? http://www.craftedge.com/support/support_form.html

BTW: Even though you may not have the obvious programs running, there are almost always things running in the background. I have had problems with SCAL when my antivirus updated while I was using SCAL.
