cut out inside of image

I am trying to cut out the inside of an image.
Can anyone tell me how to do this? I would rather not ask someone to do it for me.

Paula Ann, "how to cut out the inside of an image" is a bit vague to get some help.

Can you post the file without CR violation so someone can explain it to you. Or post something similar?

This is the cat.
Heather was kind enough to convert this to an SVG because I was having problems with my software.
I want it to be similar to the dog.
(The white is "empty" space~for lack of a better word")

Paula Anne,

I'd make a shadow layer of the cat at a setting of 2.50 or 3.00 or more depending on how thick you want the stick line.

Select All
path/back minus front

This will take out the interior of the cat leaving the solid stick lines, plus the facial features.

I made the shadow layer.
Then I did
Select all/path.....but I don't get the option, back minus front.
So, I am missing doing something, but I don't know what it is

When you made the shadow layer did you leave it underneath the cat..

Try again and let me know where it goes wrong again. I've done this 3 times in eCAL with no problem
