ecal vs SCAL

Post by sspryte »

Ok I have a copy of SCAL will it run my eclipse? Is there a difference in the software between Ecal and SCAL? or is it just another name for the same software?

ecal is the same as SCAL3 except it only works on the Sizzix eclips, where SCAL3 works on many of the most popular other cutters. Neither one works with any ProvoCraft product. Only SCAL2 works on a ProvoCraft product but is no longer available. You may update from SCAL2 to SCAL3/eclips when you buy a new cutter. See the list of supported cutters below

SCAL3 and ECAL are not interchangeable. ECAL was specially made for the Eclips in order to access some of the Eclips special features. I don't believe there is an upgrade to the Eclips from SCAL2 or SCAL3. It's a stand-alone program. However, it does "feel" the same as SCAL, in theory.
