Hello, I think I need your help... please....

Post by Zara »

Well, I tried to build a little tea holder seen in the www. Everything went well... till I tried to cut a half circle in the middle of a retangle (hope everything is right written and you know what I mean). Oh dear how to explane...

Can you see the attachment? Hope it's not to small. There is a little dotted line (curve) this should be a cut. All the other lines are just for folding, I don't want them to be there. I don't know how to do this with my eCal. Does someone know what I mean and can help me, please?

Thanks very much!

Yvonne

This might get you started. You will have to move between your arrow cursor and the nodes tool in the tools panel to select what you need to select.

1st. the 2 nodes on the half circle with the node tool and split path and pull the side off.

2nd. with the arrow key, select your fold lines and change to dashed lines in the drop down box indicated with the red circle.

Cut lines are solid and fold line are dashed.

It's real good to know that I don't need to try everything on my own... life isn't long enough to do this
