A Nice Cup of Tea

Post by Briarview »

I have purchased and downloaded A Nice Cup of Tea from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I downloaded it in a zip file and extracted it.
I have to enlarge it to get a good size. So went ahead and resized the cup and liner to the required size in SCAL but I am at a loss as to know how to rezise the other parts, saucer, footer etc. The cup was .895W x 1.50H and resized to 4.50W x7.542H. I kept in ratio.
Now the saucer is 1.50W x 1.50H and the other parts are .764W x 1.50H, .705W x 1.50H. Can someone please help and advise how this can be done. I did try and resize them all by the same amount 5.02 but the saucer was far too big. Where am I going wrong :(

Put them all on your mat at the same time, select all and resize, then open more pages and copy and paste some onto another page if there isnt enough room on your mat for all of them.

make sure keep porportions box is checked in appearance settings, you can either manually punch in number to resize it to, or grab your bounding box x handle and enlarge it that way. But you have to have them all selected first, when you do select all you should have one bounding box around the whole thing on your mat, then do your resizing. :D

Yes I am using the svg files they sent me. The only way I can get them in a box together is by Import SVG and select cup and then Import SVG saucer import SVG footer and then they are all in one red lined box. In the properties box I change the H and this increases them all but when I select just one copy and then paste in a new window it reverts back to the original when I paste. I am using Version 1.016 so perhaps this is the reason. I do not want to update it as then I won't be able to use on my Cricut.

Once you have them all on your mat......do Control+A on your keyboard....and all the items on that mat will be selected.....then you can resize.....does that make sense????

Go here for scal2 and update to the latest version that was released and you can still cut with your machine.
