Can someone help me with this sign for my bathroom

Post by angel »

I want to make this sign for my bathroom out of vinyl on a picture frame glass, but Im having a hard time coming up with an idea for the cards, I dont think the way I have it is going to cut well. I was going to cut the shadow layer for the cards in a white vinyl, and then red for the face of the cards.

Any help is appreciated. thanks!

I tried to fatten things up a tiny bit...view actual size and see what you think. It is coming back as a scut2.

This idea is tooooo cute! Sandy should use it in the room her husband built with the light...lol.

strange...scut2, i dont understand that, very weird. yeah sandy should use that!!

I seen a sign hanging in a bar once that said:

The only Royal flush your going to get around here is in the bathroom! ha I think I will make that for my husbands bar come to think of it. hahaha

thanks gj1, I will download the file now.

I just didnt know if that would look good with that shadow layer, and then the little cuts in the cards.

You use scal 3, so your files are saved as scut3. I use scal2 and so they get saved as scut2 files. You can open either, but you should resave the one I made fatter, if you like it...so it will be a scut3 for you. I can not open scut3 files without changing the 3 to a 2. It is just that we use different versions, that's all.

Vinyl cuts extremely well and you can get lots of detail in a vinyl cut.

You might like to add registration marks (not print & cut ones, just little diamonds) so the marks are cut from the white and the red vinyl, you can use those to then align the two colours perfectly when layering the vinyl.

This is a one of the vinyl cuts I have done, it was cut at 200mm (8 inches) high to give you an idea of the level of detail you can get in vinyl..
