I have Firmware 2.1 and again..Never used DS...why all of a sudden is it not working??? Please help me...I am preparing for a weekend crop and I want to do all of my cuts before I go..I am desperate!! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try closing SCAL, turn off Cricut, turn it back on and reopen SCAL and cut. If that doesn't work, try turning off the Cricut then reboot your computer and try cutting. If that doesn't work, search these boards for the message you gave, others have had this happen. Things like this just happen with software sometimes. Word closes unexpectantly sometimes, Internet Explorer and Firefox both do, and others. It's not really a big deal, but annoying. If however, you've worked on a design didn't save it before trying to cut, that could be a big deal! Hopefully that's not the case for you! HTH
P.S. Oh, and make sure no cords have wiggled loose, especially the one between the Cricut and the computer.
Nope..that didn't work..I just shut down the computer...unplugged everything and it still isn't working. It says "Cutting Completed" and nothing even happened. Any other suggestions?
Again, I used this the other day..no problem..whatsoever....Please help...can you hear my desperation??? Should I update my firmware again..I have 2.1. Thanks
Okay..I got it to work...but I figured I would tell you what happened just in case it happens to someone else. I had a scut file that I have cut 10 times already. It was a shape. I opened the file and resized it. I didn't save the resize and just said cut. That could have been the problem...so I imported the original svg file and then resized it and saved and then cut it out and it worked!!! So I just thought this may be helpful to someone someday Thanks for your replies
Another time it happens (and I do it quite often) is if you have several shapes or whatever to cut and you have clicked on the Weld button. If you then delete all but one item and it still has the weld button ticked you can get the same message.
Just take off the weld button (becuase one shape has nothing to weld to) and it works fine.
