Thanks for testing it, too...yes, it works nicely, but the flower or ribbon top pieces could be positioned just a bit better. I might work on that. To finally make it work, if you look on page two...I had to make a hexagon and then lay in rectangles to find the size to union to the main box for the top, then the tricky part is those flowers/ribbons...it is good, but they need to be right in the center at the correct angle and some are not exact...but close enough to work. I did not do well in any math courses in school. This type of work or the robot boxes would be excellent to help kids in learning.

Thanks for posting this. I can see lots of fun things coming from this too! I saw a picture of a box kind of like this once, but it made a snowflake.

I attempted to make a cut file for the snowflake box I saw on Extreme Cards. I got it pretty close. The bottom folds in the same way the top does, but without the snowflake points sticking out. Sorry for the poor quality photo-- not sure what happened there.

I also played around with your little box file, gj1 (hope you don't mind!). I changed the angle of the loops on the top of the box just a bit. In the picture, you can see there was a tiny hole in the top of the box, but I fixed the file so it won't do that.

I love the way your box goes together-- so nice and clean. But for people like me, who have just the small Cricut, it only makes a tiny, tiny box. It would probably also work to put those loops on the snowflake box I posted above too. It's not as nice a construction, but it would make a bigger box. I haven't tried it yet-- maybe I will later.

Another lousy photo. I guess that's what happens when I stay up too late.

AWESOME AWESOME, I can't wait to cut them both!!! Thank you so much for sharing them. Oh, I am excited to try the snowflake!!! We could make a challenge to see how many 'things' we could get to fit together for a top...lol.

Oops...you already did a bunch...I was just looking at all the wonderful files you have share and your animal boxes and the flower one...you already accomplished the challenge!

Yeah, my personal 'challenge'! (Can you say compulsive?) It's what helps me learn though. I love trying to figure these things out.

I also did a little box with a kitten (kind of like the dog one). It's cute, but I forgot to take a picture of it and I gave it away already.
