Craft Edge

I've tried to separate this into layers in Inkscape and I just cannot get it done. Would someone please be kind enough to help me create separate files for the different colors of this logo so I can make layered vinyl things from it? I would appreciate it so much.

Have you tried grouping instead of layering?
