Craft Edge

I have done some stuff in inkscape, but can't figure out a way to do this. I have a jpg that is a stencil of a cardinal and I want to etch this on water glasses for my sister for Christmas. What I need to do is make the lines wider. Similar to making text bold. I like the design but when I cut the vinyl the cutting are really skinny and I would like them wider.
