Doesn't recognize Cricut

Sorry if I'm behind the curve and this has already been asked. I downloaded the trial version to try in anticipation of buying the software. Just can't resist what you ladies are showing you can do with it. But when I tried to cut, it doesn't do anything and eventually says it doesn't recognize my Cricut. Any thoughts? I have version 1.1 of CDS and the trial download of SCA was the latest version as of yesterday. Everything is plugged in.

Laurie, do you have the baby bug or the E? The E needs 1.2 I think.

Did you do the firmware update that needs to be done before using SCAL? Or try using a direct USB port into your computer instead of a front hub?

Thanks for the advice. Got it working. Don't know how, but it's working.
