SCAL and Design Studio files?

Is there a way to use the Design Studio AND SCAL? I only have the trial version of DS now, but see that I could use the two programs in combo... But can't see how. Anyone?
You can not use the two programs together but some have imported the shapes from DSS into Inkscape, traced and saved as .svg file and from there, you can cut in SCAL.
It is a process with a learning curve but that is OK because once you get the hang of it, your possiblities are endless.
Check out some of the other posts (since the split, I couldn't even tell you where to look) but it has been discussed.
