Is there a tutoral on how to connect nodes and close gaps on clipart. I have line drawings that have gaps where the lines dont meet and would like to connect them? I know It has to be possible because I accidently did it the other day :o

If something doesn't pop up here in the next few days, I'll type something up.

it's very easy--just connect the nodes using the options on the top tool bar when you click the 2nd arrow on the left tool bar.

I was able to use the nodes tool and choose from the selection off the nodes bar and it looks connected but I can't seperate the layers. There is away I just haven't hacked it yet.

not quite sure what you mean by separating the layers.

Hello:
This is what I am working on. The first image is the bottom layer that I moved after I broke everything apart. The sail with the red x in it should have stayed with the rest of the ship outer pieces but because there were two lines that didnot meet I got this. I tried to fix it with connecting nodes on the line draying but it will not detach from the background. I hope this makes sense. I know it can be done because yesterday on a strawberry shortcake house I did it, by trial and error but I can't figure out what I did to make it happen. Any help will be appreciated. There are so many cute line drawings and my grandson is majoring in art at OU that I have endless possibilites

Looking at the drawing it seems that the inside rectangle is not separate from the outside rectangle so won't delete as such. In this case I'd click on the nodes, then on the commands on the top tool bar break apart at selected nodes, then delete the nodes of the inside rectangle and redraw the outside of the rectangle and join it up.
Bit complicated but doable!
