in the PDF file and converted them in Inkscape to svg for my Cricut Create. I notice that there are four designs on the one page. Can someone tell me how I can separate to have only one showing on my Sure Cuts Alot screen mat. Also what thickness (gms) card would you use? I have other questions but will read the topics first as I am a Newbie and then post separately. Thanks in advance. Briarview

Are you using SCAL or SCAL 2?

If you are using scal, you can import them into inkscape, ungroup and save each piece seperate. If you are using scal 2 you can also import the svg into inkscape and pull each piece to a seperate layer then save as ONE file which would then be called an SVG Layers file. When you pull it into scal 2, all you have to do is ungroup it then. If you need a photo tuorial on this, let me know, I can post one in the tutorial section.

To see how to ungroup an SVG LAYERS file in scal 2, look at my blog, there is a step by step photo tutorial there.

Hope that helps,

It's okay. Just played around until I got it and now it's sorted. Cheers

Would you be able to explain further how to make the layers in Inkscape please?
I have SCAL2 and would like to be able to import images from Inkscape into SCAL with multi-layers and be able to ungroup them in SCAL as you have instructed - but not sure how to do the layers in Inkscape.
Thanks so much
