making a silhouette

does anyone know if you can take a photo of a person and make a silhouette and then cut it in scal. If so can you explain how this is done. thanks

You should be able to import to inskape and trace. The resulting file will be save as svg and then you can import to SCAL and cut........I think......I have not personally tried that.

I took a picture of my daughter and imported the .bmp file into inkscape. I just followed the stepes already listed on this site for tracing a bitmap and created this outline.
I am not sure how well this would cut on the cricut. It would depend on your picture.
