SCAL shutting down

When trying to import svg my SCAL shuts down. Any ideas?
I am running XP, version 2.3 firmware and 1.016 SCAL and last time I used SCAL it was working. Since then I have upgraded my Norton antivirus.

BTW I should mention, it isn't even that it is a particular svg. I don't even get a choice as soon as I click on import svg the program shuts down

The only time I have had SCAL shut down is with certain svg files, or when I did a test to see what would happen if I imported a scut file. You might try making a very simple svg in Inkscape or downloading one of the simple ones from here and then import that and see what happens.

If you are using Inkscape to create or edit files, try saving them as a Plain SVG and not an Inkscape SVG. My SCAL shuts down if I try to import an Inkscape SVG.
