Craft Edge

I know how to take pictures of my completed item and share that on this board. How do you do the screen shot and share it? Thanks for any help.

I downloaded a freeware program called Faststone Capture that is super easy to use. If you do a quick search, you should be able to find it.

You open it and it pops up a little toolbar and you can choose to do a screenshot of the entire page, or choose the box icon and you just draw a box around the areas you want to capture. Then it pops open a window that shows what your shot will look like and you can crop it, copy it, save it, and do other things so that you can use it.

I can take a screen shot (in part or full) with the help of a program called SnagIt (not free, but very useful). I don't know how to insert the screen shot or image in a message on this board. I see the URL button available while writing this message, but I have no clue what the URL to a file on my system would be. If I say c:/...<rest of path>... wouldn't that look at SCAL's server rather than my pc?

Um.. up on the top right hand side of your keyboard you all have a button that says "print screen"

Just press that. Then open MS Paint and Edit > Paste and you will see the screen shot.

Thanks, but I meant after I have my screenshot on my clipboard, how do I put it in a message here?
Like maybe I would want a photo or a screen shot to appear below this line in my message. How do I get it there?

Ohhh... Sorry.

I upload them to the internet first. I use http://www.photobucket.com its free.

Once its uploaded to the internet you copy the URL.

Then when you are writing your post you will see the icon that says IMG. Click that.

You will see this ----> [ img ] [ img ] stick the URL in the middle and that should do it.
