Image is very faint

When i import an image into scal5 it is hard to see unless I click on it and then I see the outlines. When I go to weed settings it is hard to see image also. Is there something I am missing.

First off, whenever this happens, with the image still selected go to the Fill & Stroke Panel on the right. Select Color for both and pick black for both. THEN you should be able to see the design.
