Getting an odd cut line every now and then

OK...I'm having a ball with this! But, I am noticing that every once in a while, I will get an odd cut line through a letter...like when it's moving from one letter to the next. Any idea what's causing this and what I can do to stop it?

Thanks!
Suz

Hmmm...I had to undo the first update that PC released and reinstall the original CDS from my CD because I was having a blade dragging issue. PC just released a 2nd update yesterday to update the cart library to show the new carts in CDS and from what I've read so far no one using SCA is having any issues after doing the update.

I don't have CDS on this computer. I loaded the trial onto my laptop yesterday to do the firmware upgrade on my Expression because this computer doesn't have Microsoft SPK2 on it. I'm still running SPK1 on this computer (the one I'm using for SCAL) as I never could get a good upgrade. Would that make a difference? So, basically, I'm running SCAL on a computer that does not have CDS on it.

Thanks for your help!

I would say you need to update the firmware you are using in your cricut. If you used the trial CDS to update your firmware in order for SCAL to work, then that is the problem. I used a different link today to download a newer version of the software and updated my firmware again and everything seems to be working now. There's a link in the BUGS forum that discusses this.
