My question is I have a project saved on my desk top and I wanted to show it to someone at work so I brought in my lap top. Why couldn't I bring my design up on lap top if I have it saved in SCAL on my desk top at home?

I would assume you've not installed SCAL onto your laptop? In order for a SCUT file to open, you need SCAL installed to open it.

I just checked my lap top and SCAL is installed on it. What else can I do to check and make sure it is downloaded properly?

What happens if you open SCAL on your laptop and then you go to File>Open and try to open that file? Also, do you have the same version of SCAL installed on both your laptop and your desktop?

I was able to pick up those projects. My confusion was when I click on SCAL on my lap top, and I did not see the projects in the beginning box. However, when I open the files like you suggested, I do see them. Thank you for helping. I am new to the craft projects world and learning my Cricut and SCAL. Sewing is easier then this but I love to craft just as much as sewing.

Very relieved to read this. That opening window, like the list under File>Recent Projects, only shows files that have been opened in SCAL on that particular computer.

Post back if you run into any other issues.
