Spacing & Lining Up Letters

Hi I'm using the demo version 5. The size of the mat is 24 inch long x 11.69 inches tall. I want to cut the name, SAM I'm not sure how I line up the letters and correctly space them?

Here's a link to a very detailed SCAL5 user manual that will answer question you have about various functions. Chapter 4 is devoted to Text and Section 4.07 specifically covers moving the spacing between letters so that they overlap. You might also check out Section 4.05 which covers each of the settings on the Text panel on the right. If you have any other questions, feel free to post!
