Does anyone know of a tutorial, or video tutorial on how to create an svg of something that has not been traced, or brought in to SCAL - one that is completely designed from scratch? For example, how to create an animal, or house? How do most people design things? Is everyone tracing, using clip art?

Inkscape is a good program for creating svg files to cut from SCAL/eCAL.

Its a free powerful program.. See Inscape.org for download or SourceForge. A great helpful forum with lots of tutorials is http://www.inkscapecuttingdesign.com/smf/. YouTube has some too. Takes some time to learn, but worth it.

A google search will find more examples.

Have a great experience!
