Craft Edge

Maybe someone can help me because I didn't have time to figure this out.

I made an SVG in Illustrator at work with some music notes and some text. I saved it to my USB Memory Stick. I take it home and open it with SCAL. I decide that I don't want to cut the text, so I open the file in Ink, delete the words and move the notes around to save some space. I resave the file. I open the file in SCAL and my music notes are all over the place and some of them are even overlapping. I reopen the file in Ink and they show up exactly where they are supposed to. Why did they do this? I even copied and pasted into new files and that didn't work either. I was running out of time, so I cut what I could.

Did you use Object/Group? Anytime I have had misplaced pieces, it was because I used group instead of the path options. Try ungrouping until it says there are no more groups.

I made a post on this very topic awhile back, and of course I can't find it now. I think what I ended up doing was selecting all un-grouped, separated pieces and put them on the object path: Path -> Object to Path. Then, save the file. I think that's all it took.

Problem solved! I went home last night. Opened my file in Ink, selected all and then object to path. Saved the file, opened in SCAL and everything was right where it was supposed to be. Thank you everyone. I work in Illustrator on a Mac during the day, but at home I use INK and I still have a lot to learn about that program. How cool is it that everyone here is so willing to help each other.
