Can anyone help? I'm looking for a cross like this I can cut with SCAL. I wish I knew how to make my own!

Hello
You could trace the image depending in the copyright issues, if you want to see how to do that here is a link to the video I made about tracing an image in SCAL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zh9qzjk0Ao
then you can cut it with your machine
good luck

The only problem with tracing that image is it's been taken on a slant (not straight on) so you would need to compensate or correct the image before tracing, otherwise you might find you have a wonky cross
but it would give you a start for the object you want.

I tried tracing in Inkscape but the colors are so faint I couldn't get a clean trace to work with.
I also googled to see where it might have come from but didn't find it.
It is lovely tho and worth pursuing I think.

OK I'm looking online to find out how to straighten the pic.
I think it will require a manual trace using the bezier tool and basically draw around all those shapes. which you could do now but then you'd need to try to align them all on a straight path.... and they might not be the right size/shape to do it.
yes, it's a nice file and would be useful to some

OK I'm going to hope I'm not fringing anyone's copyright - if I am, please let me know and I'll remove the file but I have "fiddled" with the image and somehow managed to get it looking half decent............
.......... then manually traced each part and I've come up with this - it's not perfect but not bad, what do you think?

fantastic! how patient you are to hand trace it, and it looks pretty exact to me.
tks
I'm back... it only took a few minutes to add the color and it is even more beautiful.....

Susan, yours too is perfect! did you also manually trace or did you find a way to do it with software.
lots of members would love to learn how to do this.
thanks
