Newest Update to SCAL 3.044

I downloaded the newest update to SCAL today & then it would not open at all on my computer. Windows said there was a problem with the program & shut it down.
I tried re-booting my computer to see if it would work & it did the same thing.
Is there a fix for this?
I re-installed 3.042 again until I know this is fixed.
Please advise!

Mine opens fine with Windows7. Perhaps try the d/l again...maybe you did not choose your correct operating system.

I'm having the exact same issue with Windows 8...
I've done the Windows 8 driver thingy, I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've confirmed my antivirus and firewall aren't causing problems. The program wasn't cutting certain font letters, so I decided maybe it was an update issue and decided to update in the middle of a project...big mistake! Now I have a project due to a customer today that I need to finish cutting and the program gets stuck on the "Init Interface" screen right after it loads the fonts.

I'm having the same issue, but don't have 3.042 to revert to because I'm on a new computer, could you email me 3.042? I'd GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks! I'm extremely frustrated as a I have a Christmas gift I'm finishing up a friend asked me to make!
