Baby shower favor box

I'm having a baby shower on Saturday so I have been working on lots of little projects. Here are some photos of the favor box I made based on a photo I saw on the web someplace. The boxes are about two inches on each side, and I lined them with tissue and filled them with Hershey's Kisses and Hugs.

I used the Park Avenue font to cut the baby's name on the reverse of the box, which required just a little modification to make the letters cut without removing any pieces.

I will post the cut file in a second post.

Here is the cut file for the favor box. I took 'our' baby's name off so the file just says Baby on the back. If you want to remove the word completely, just add a square from the basic shapes that covers the word, highlight all, and go path/union. The word will disappear.

The top of the box is a little shorter so that the color of the bottom shows in a band at the bottom. If you decide to resize, be sure to put both top and bottom on one page, highlight both items together, click "keep proportions", and then resize.

Well I agree that Brooklyn is probably too long to fit on this little box, but the file I posted just says Baby (I took off our baby's name). You could leave it like that, or add something like Dear, or just take it off completely and leave the back blank.

Thanks, gj1! I have been busy for a while getting ready for this shower. I smocked a little dress for the baby as a gift, and I made some pennants to decorate with. I'll post pictures of the pennants and the file when I put them up. Working on some decorated cupcakes later this week, and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.

The box is beautiful! What a lucky mom and baby to have you to organize the party.
