teapot slider card

Post by Lauram312000 »

Ok so I must admit I haven't cut this yet, hopefully I will tonight but...

This isn't a new idea, but I saw it recently and I thought, gee why am I not making one of these???? My niece is getting married and they're having a tea party theme for her shower so I thought I'd make her a cute card. Maybe I'm reinventing the wheel but I haven't found any templates for this.

When I finally make it, I'll post a pic and any fixes that are needed but...in the meantime, if someone is making this, feel free to let me know if it works!

I thought I'd put something in the inside like "May your marriage be like the best pot of tea, hot, sweet and strong"

Enjoy!

...and here's the final picture! I use a mac so I don't have paint but I reduced the size of the jpg, so hopefully this pic won't be huge...

I made the teapot the "folder, by gluing the spout and handle and then folded up and lined them up perfectly. Then I glued the lid of the teapot to the insert (I only put glue on the very top of the insert so that the teapot lid flap would lay on the outside of the teapot.

Yes, it is and I love how you embossed this...the all white look of china and for a wedding shower card...it is PERFECT. I want to go try to cut it too. Thanks so much for sharing your creation!

I get so giddy when I try something new and it works! I just embellished it with ribbon and gems and it really works for this shower. It took me years to get comfortable enough to start posting my work because you all here are so good at this--and I've learned so much from this forum and from you gj1!! With all the provocraft stuff going on, it's nice to know that the craft community stands together and is more than happy to share lolol
