Why is cutter starting at far right

Why is my cutter starting at the far right when I start a project.
All layouts are in my software to the far left.
The issues with this machine are piling up.
I guess I will be on the phone Monday.

Where is your image on the mat. Is the mat set on horizontal or vertical (which way are the arrows pointing on the mat on the screen).

Image on the mat...FAR LEFT
Paper set at landscape (horizontal)
I did change the software to portrait so the arrows were up top.
I did do a laser preview, which has now frozen in the middle.
I did not notice the arrows on the mat. I am not sure this is going to help me or not, but will try.,
Now to figure out why the laser preview froze.
