I went ahead and made a card with the Wine file I posted earlier.

DH turned 70 and we need to celebrate!

Get the file for the Wine on my Blog

I took the jpg image and "placed" it in Adobe Photoshop Elements, added the Cheers and printed on matte photo paper at 300dpi to get the best resolution. Added the raffia bow for a little texture and dimension.

Here is the direct link to the blog post.

Well when we are both 70 and have been married 50+ years we are very aware about no tomorrows and cherish each day we have together.

Thanks for the well wishes on his behalf.

Susan, what a great card, I love it.........and I also love wine! So at this very moment I am drinking a toast to your husband to help celebrate his 70th. My husband turned 70 a couple of weeks ago as well and I am right behind him is a few more weeks. I don't have Adobe Photoshop Elements, do you think I could print a decent photo from your file on my Mac with an hp printer?
I downloaded the svg from your blog, but wasn't able to leave a comment, so must say my thank you on this site.

Hi, Judy this is a good question but hard to answer.

Our printer is a big photo printer with 8 cartridges since DH does alot of photography and needs all the colors.

My experience with printing the file was that if I used plain paper it came out YELLOW but when I used Matte Photo Paper the color was perfect.

What you could try first is using the downloaded jpg file in SCAL.
  • File/place image
Resize since it is 300 dpi it comes in HUGE.
Do a print, print/preview and you will see that it looks just fine
Now print and if you have the option to state what the media is select matte photo paper if you have some, I believe it would look good on photo glossy too but not so good on cardstock but I really don't know.
It would help everyone if any of you try to print and get different results that you post the info.

Thanks for the nice omments.
