HELP..How do you make "scoring" lines

I was wondering if anyone could help me...I am new to Inkscape and I would like to know how to (or if its possible) to make lines that won't cut but just score for effect in my SVGs...

I dont think the Cricut will score...it will only cut. But I read where someone had turned the blade around so the blunt end was outside and tried it that way. You would have to make the lines in your shapes and then try it. To make lines the cricut will cut, I use the pencil to draw the line and then with the line selected, Path>Stroke to Path.
