Question about vector software

Hello, I have the Cricut Create and am thinking about purchasing SCAL. I have a vector program called Xara. It doesn't save in SVG, but will export in SVG. Can this be used with SCAL, or do I have to use Inkscape? Thanks for your help.

I would think you should be ok - as long as you can save as .svg then you can import it into SCAL.
But maybe someone else has this Xara programme and can confirm for you exactly.

Thanks Raewyn, Xara actually doesn't save in SVG...just exports. I was wondering if it can be exported to SCAL in SVG...would that work?

What does the export do differently than saving? If the export is in SVG format, I think you will be fine. Do you have a design you have created that you wouldn't mind posting as an exported SVG? Perhaps we could try importing it into SCAL and see if it works.

Xara actually has multiple products, which one are you using?

I actually haven't got any files yet, I just downloaded the program a couple of days ago. I could do something simple (that's all I'm capable of

and try tomorrow.
I have the Xara Xtreme 4. Thanks.
