Owl on a branch

Post by tinaev »

I purchased this skin for my Kindle: http://www.gelaskins.com/gallery/Albert ... amored_Owl and just fell in love with the artwork. I'm still super new to figuring out how to make my own designs so I scanned in the back of my Kindle and using a combination of SCAL and Photoshop, tried to recreate the little guy. It's not perfect, but I figured I'd share the fruits of my labor.

Here he is cut and accessorized:

I see that I can only upload 3 attachments at a time, so bear with me.

Ha ha ha! I can't do Inkscape either, just confuses the crud out of me, plus my pen tablet isn't compatible with it. What I've been doing is scanning the item and using photoshop to select and color in certain portions so I can use the trace function in SCAL without it getting confused. I'm sure there's easier ways, but I can't figure them out!

Glad you guys like him. :)
