10 Border Strip

Post by Maggie »

I made this for a layout for one of my kid's scrapbooks. Thought I'd share. It's been updated.
Special thanks to Talenhart (Todd) for fixing the weld issues for me!

Great file!

When I open the SVG in Illustrator, it is 12 layers. All I had to do is "Add to Shape" area and it became a solid file.

Did you do this in SCAL or Ink?

Very cool file. I just might copy you and make one for 8 as my son just celebrated his 8th bday last week and I'm going to be working on a scrapbook page this weekend.

Thanks for the file. In Ink, I selected it all, ungrouped it a couple of times, then selected it all again and then union. It worked! :)

I had done an 8.5X11 digital spread last year, but needed to transfer that to a 12X12 page, so I designed this in SCAL to give the page a finishing edge with some texture.

I tried to path it in SCAL, but it was not happy at all about that for some reason.

Even with the weld, I lost part of the Circus font "N" on mine.

If you would be so kind as to share me the corrected version, I'll correct her scrapbook page and correct the file here for others to use who may not be as skilled to correct it on their own.
