HELP WITH CONVERTING!

I bought a die cut off of paperthreads.com and it comes in 4 different formats (ai, wpc, gsd, and knk) not SVG! I have inkscape and SCAL and now this great die but I cannot figure out how to use! I have read MANY of the topics already on here and have tried numerous things and still cannot figure out what my problem is! Any help would be wonderful!! Thanks!

Of the formats you listed, Inkscape is supposed to be able to download ai files from Adobe 9.0 and above. Sometimes I have luck and sometimes not, don't know why. If the file is free, just try it and see if it'll import. Also just try opening it. Perhaps someone else can help you go further.

Did you try opening the ai file in Inkscape. I have been able to open ai but not Ai8.
