Did you try the Trace option in SCAL 2. You need to get rid of all of those extra shading lines or it will cut them.

I used the Bezier tool in Inkscape. There are some unconnected lines so any of you who can blend, mix, stir or shake your magic in Inkscape is more than welcome to tweak to your heart's content. I tried Union which worked to some extent so tried Intersection but couldn't see where it did anything. It was a fun experiment using the Bezier tool in Inkscape tho.

Very nice. The Pen tool is amazing. I don't know where I would be without it.

Ok, so this file looked like a good challenge for me. I took the image into ink and used to pen tool to recreate it. It is a layered file consisting of 4 layers. Boy did I surprise myself! I really like how it turned out. If anyone wants it, please pm me and I will gladly share it. I will post a pic of the file that has been cut and assembled here shortly. :D
