Would this work

Hi all, :?:

I have a layered image that I want to cut out and glue together, because there are so many pieces to it I wanted to be able to do a base cut like the ones you can do using a cartridge. ( Where it shows you where to put your pieces down) if I was to cut the whole image with using number 1 for blade pressure would this score enough of the paper to see where I would have to lay my pieces down? I don't know of any other way of doing it unless one of you clever people can tell me.

Thanks so much

It would depend on your paper. What I do when I score with the blade is set the pressure and as low as it goes and the blade depth to a couple of settings less than I would cut with, then increase the blade depth until it just marks the paper. HTH

Thanks Heather,

I am using regular cardstock so I will just play around with maybe a simpler image first to see if I can get it to work.

You can also set the line style in SCAL to be a dotted line. There are several styles supplied, and you can make your own pattern. That way you could cut the outline and the guide lines all at once.
