hoping someone can help with windows 7

hi asking here hoping someone might beable to help,as when i ask questions of any kind on my regular yahoo group no one bothers to answer so as this is a group i use often here goes.

i have been brought a new laptop by my dear husband it already seems to come loaded with windows 7 home premium,my question is i brought window 7 professional before i got the laptop which i thought i was getting at xmas so its a bit early.i have not loaded any other programmes onto the laptop so do i just put the professional disc in and it will overide and install or do i have to physically remove the other version first.

Put the disc in and let the program tell you what you need to do. If you need the other one removed I would think that the one you are installing would tell you. If you have any trouble the ones to contact would be Microsoft. If it doesn't overwrite or remove the program you will have a lot of space on your hard drive used for nothing.
