Craft Edge

I downloaded Inkscape and found out is is version 0.47. When I go to Youtube to view the tutorials, most of them are for a earlier version. Is there a big difference in versions of Inkscape. I'm having a big problem flowing them when I don't have the same icons in the same place on their screen compared to my screen.

I use Inkscape 0.46

Download the file named Inkscape-0.46.win32.exe

That will give you the version that most of the tutorials were done with.

I downloaded version 0.47 inkscape, Can just go and uninstall version 0.47 and turn around and install version 0.46?

Yes you can but make sure you do a complete uninstall... It will ask I think if you want to take out saved settings as well.. Just say yes..

I uninstalled Inkscape 0.47 and then I tried to install Inkscape 0.46, but when it comes to install it gives me a message that says; "Inkscape must be installed in an empty directory. C:/Program Files\Inscape is not empty. Please clear this directory first!" What does this mean? I'm hoping someone can help me.

It means go to your program files in your C: directory which is where inkscape is saved to and delete the inkscape folder.. When you uninstall things the file itself usually remains in your C: drive until you delete it... I can download games but when I unistall the game the game title is still int he programs files...

Thank you for your help, I was able to go to the C: drive and delete the previous version of Inkscape.
