What happened to the rest of my images

I created a 70 cut out for an Iris fold card
when I went to open the project to get the dimensions so I could resize my pattern only the zero was there.
How come the 7 is missing.
This is getting so frustrating.
Luckily I should be able to re-create the numeral by matching the size of the zero.
BUT surely the whole image should be saved.
This is not the first project this has happened to.
What am I doing wrong?
Please tell me I have wasted so much time already.
