Hello everyone, I'm Joey from South Jersey. I am new to the cricut craze, I'm a digital designer by trade....I won a craft contest last month which enabled me to purchase a shiny pink expression. I have the jukebox and DS as well. I am on the fence about SCAL at the moment. Here is my question: Since I am Photoshop trained, can I create the picture/file whatever in PS and import it into inkscape? I have inkscape, don't know much about it yet, but I do have it. Can you point me in the direction of "Inkscape for dummies?" I appreciate any info you can give, thanks so much.

Hi Joey and welcome. If you are a real designer, you are definitely going to want scal because you will feel awfully limited with just cartridge images. And yes, you can design in photoshop and you don't even need to use Inkscape as SCAL2 can vectorize your photoshop-generated jpgs.

What are those?? cartridges?? LOL.. Yep you definitely wanna go the SCAL route.. I got a cricut for my b'day last year.. 1 month and 6 cartridges later I was on a mission to find a program that would work with my cricut and low and behold I found SCAL.. Can you say "addicted??" LOL
